    thanks a.j. for doing this. this is the beginning of a family organization. how different it is when we orgainzed b-13. computors are amazing. what are we going to call our family organization everyone??? any ideas. smith-8 , smith family inc., or wait awhile???

    Whatever it is, we're probably going to need to decide quickly. I have a meeting with some lawyers to discuss setting up the Smith Family trust. The trust will most likely hold the deed for whatever property we buy.

    hey guys,
    i think that this is a good idea my only worries are:

    - each family needs to come up with the cash to put down (credit union loan etc.) we can't make 1 person take out this loan, that a huge burden and could hinder that someone from taking out another loan if they were to buy a house, not to mention making sure that person gets paid by everyone each month is a HUGE headache.

    and the it's not likely that we will find a loan that they will spilt 7 ways.

    so i think that everyone needs to find a good loan and get pre-approved before was start to move forward. tyler and i got a good rate through a credit union over here so give that a try.

    other than that as long as the land has water we are good and totally in.

    call me if you need anything. i'll be off of internet access from wed,28th p.m until next tues. p.m. i need to go stay with grandma b for a few days. she's sick,etc. dad was going to try to go to the property this weekend, but now i'm gone i don't know for sure. someone call him. he doesn't go to the internet (blog)very often. he does go to the computor , but not internet, so he may not check your repsonses. love mom
